Sankalp Supari at Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu’s residence during Ganeshotsav

Every year, the Ganehotsav, which takes place for two and a half days at Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu’s residence, is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion. Shraddhavan devotees come in large numbers here to avail the Darshan of Shree Ganpati.
Shree Sai Satcharita says,
गुरुनाम आणि गुरुसहवास। गुरुकृपा आणि गुरुचरण पायस।
गुरुमंत्र आणि गुरुगृहवास। महत्प्रयास प्राप्ती ही।।
Guru-naama aani Guru-sahavaasa, Guru-krupaa aani Guru-charan paayasa,
Guru-mantra ani Guru-Grihavaasa, Mahat-prayaasa praptee hee.
(Only after great efforts do rare privileges of Guru-naama, Guru’s holy company, His grace, the sweetened milk washed off his lotus feet, Guru-mantra, and the opportunity of stay at Guru’s abode come your way.
Thus, getting to visit Sadguru Aniruddha’s residence and having the Darshan of Shreeguru Dattatreya, along with the pure, holy and auspicious Shree Ganesh, is a golden opportunity for Shraddhavans which gives them immense happiness.
Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu, too, tells all the Shraddhavans that ‘This is the Ganpati of ‘our’ home, i.e. the home which is of Sadguru Bapu and every Shraddhavan’, and Shraddhavans also avail the Darshan of Shree Ganesha here with the same sentiment.
जय देव जय देव जय मंगलमूर्ती । दर्शनमात्रे मन कामना पुरती ॥
Jai Dev, Jai Dev, Jai Mangalmurti, Darshan maatre mana kaamanaa poorti.
This line is the starting stanza of Shree Ganpati Aarti. While availing the Darshan of Shree Ganesha, Shraddhavans make a ‘vow’ for the fulfilment of their wishes or to overcome any difficulties. That means they perform a Navas or mannat (votive) before Shree Ganpati at Bapu’s residence and keep a betel nut (supari) as a symbolic representation of this vow in front of Shree Ganesh. While and after their wish is fulfilled, Shraddhavans also complete the vow that they have themselves taken up as a Navas at the feet of Shree Ganesh.
For many years now, Shraddhavans have been visiting Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu’s residence with their family, with great devotion, to seek the Darshan of Shree Ganesha and become content with it and with Ganpati Bappa’s blessings.
