English Pitruvachan (Part 2) – 26th September 2019

Hari Om  Shri Ram Ambadnya

Naathsanvidh

So Hi buddies… How is everything? Absolutely.. So we are learning Ram Raksha slowly right. So today is the second line of say ‘Ram Beej Mantra’. That’s Ramam Ramesham Bhaje.Ramam..Ramam means..To Ram..T O..To Ram. Ramesham- Ramesham is Ish of Rama. Ish means Lord. Lord of Rama. Rama is the real name of Lakshmi. The way Uma is the original name of Parvati, Rama is the original name of Lakshmi. So he is Ish of Rama. So he is the Lord of Rama. Another meaning of the word Ramesh is the one who is worshipped by Rama. Rama worships Ramesh yane Ram. Bhaje… Bhaje means pyaar se…prem se poojan karta hoon..prem se seva karta hoon. I am serving with…I am serving Lord Ramesh ..Ram with love and dedication that is Bhaje. So you got the meaning of the line. Straightforward meaning, clear meaning. Ramam Ramesham Bhaje Is to serve who is the Lord of Rama. Now Ram and Rama these two names are quite close right. Now leave aside the English spelling – Ram or Rama. Right. Concentrate on Sanskrit, the Devanagiri script only. Right. Ra adhik…

र+ अ+ म= राम

र+ अ= रा+ म= राम

What is Rama ?

र+ म+ अ= रमा

So is you look into both, Ram as well as Rama syllables are same. र, अ, मya र, म, अ. Got it. That means, definitely Ram and Rama, these two nouns, these two names. They are not only nouns, they are names. –Naam. Say in Marathi alphabets. What do we say? Naam or Naav. Naam is different. Naav is different. The same way it is a Naam. Naam means- What do we mean by Naam? It’s okay. It’s sound similar to name. We know that all are these.. these are all interchangeable languages Sanskrit as as well as English both. Right. So there are many words in both will be similar. So what do we mean by Naam. Yes. I have discussed many times. Those who have been present can recollect, if they want to recollect, if they want to remember. Naam is only Naam and not the name of the person. But in Sanskrit, I have told you thousand times, multiple times every syllabus has a meaning. So name actually, I am not talking about common man. Please. Okay. Lord’s.. Lord’s every name describe the characteristics of that deity. Here we understand Ram as well as Rama, in both these names, both these Naamas, the syllables are same. What does that mean? Somewhere, they are..you cannot call, you cannot compare. Right so. Equal or somebody is lesser or somebody is bigger nothing like that. They are complementary to each other. रा, म(and) र, मा.

See exactly see the direction, the way it flows. They are complementary to each other. रा, म(and) र, मा. Got it. That means these two forces are complementary to each other. Always complementary forces are required. Just think, right If we have been, no… We always we are standing on this earth right. We are walking, why we are able to walk. Not because we have two legs. Ok we have two legs. If we go on the moon, with all the dress and everything. Will we be able to walk? Why because the gravitational force is different. Now the gravitational force is optimum for us. So that we can walk. So that force is actually trying to pull us down. At the same time, it is helping us to walk or stand steadily and properly okay. Agreed. Right. This is the example of proper symbiosis. Helping each other. Right. Of forces, I am talking about, not of man or something. Right. Ram and Rama are two forces basically, which are complementary to each other. Basically both of them work in unison. Work in unison for the Shraddhavans right. Here Buddhakaushik Rushi is telling us, he is the poet… right…of Ram Raksha. He is saying –

Ramam Ramesham Bhaje. Ramesham - Why is he saying that?

Ramam Dasharathsutam Bhaje,….Ramam Kausalyanandanam Bhaje. He is saying Ramam Ramesham Bhaje. Because we are all aware that Goddess Lakshmi is the provider of all material as well as we are not aware of that as well as part. We are only aware about one aspect that she is the provider of all material wealths, all the types of material wealths. Starting from money, place, family, name, fame success everything comes from Lakshmi right. So we always worship her. Right. Other poojas we may not perform but Lakshmi pooja we all…..nahi baba ..whatever it is…That day has to be celebrated. Actually all Amavasyas we are scared of . Right. But Lakshmi Poojan is on the Amavasya day only. We are not scared to perform it on that day.. Why?  Lakshmi Mata hain bhai…Uski Pooja na karenge..

If you don’t worship her and if she gets angry. This another misconcept we have that Gods get angry. They never get angry with us. Keep that in mind. Okay.. And they understand how much is their power and how much is common man’s power. Right. So first misconcept is that Gods get angry. They do not get angry at all on common man unless they become a demon. I am sure none of my kids are demons. Right. They may be making mistakes, but they are not demons, certainly not. Okay. So we are only aware about this aspect – is the provider of.. Goddess Lakshmi is the provider of material wealths of all types starting from fame, to the name, to the prestige, to money, to land and everything….whatever you want to gold, silver, jewels…whatever you want to say. Basically she is the provider of all the Mansik Sampatti that is mental wealth. That is first is your intellect. Second is memory. Third is peace which is most important. Most required all of us. We need peace. If there is no peace and everything else. What will happen? We will get mad. Absolutely. Peace is very required. She is the Goddess of Nidra as well. Nidra means sleep. Sound sleep. Who doesn’t want sound sleep? She is the provider of sound sleep. She is the provider of rest. Sleep and rest are two different things right. Rest. And at the same time she is also the provider of mental strength. She is the provider of mental concentration. Right. At the same time, she is the one who is responsible for purifying our minds. Okay.

These aspects of Laksmi we are never bothered of. Okay. And that’s why she is called as Rama. Meaning of the name Rama is the one who provides Mana mind.. Mana means mind. Rama, the name means the one who provides mind every positive energy Okay..in a major, Ma means major amount..that much..Only that much.. How much? That much which can be tolerated by that man. The quantity which that man or that woman can…will be able to handle. If suppose we some some power we are not able to handle what will happen? Everything go berserk…right. There will be many hazards. So Rama is the one who gives you power only as much as is required. Got it.  That is Rama. Are you understanding? And she worships Ram. If we want to please Rama, If we want sound sleep, if we want peaceful mind, if we want mental strength we have worship Ramesham. Because how is Rama able to give you all these power. Because she is worshipping Ramam. As Rama is worshipping Ram, she is able to deliver all these things to you, all these sources, these vibrations to you, why?

Because she is worshipping Lord Ram. And that’s why I am worshipping Lord Ram. Nobody is going to say,”Hey Rama, go away. Now we worship Ram. Nahi chalega. If you tell,”Hey Ram, go away, I only worship Rama.”She is the direct provider. She is the providence. Nahi chalega. They are complementary to each other means they come with each other. They stay with each other. They are always together. Ram and his Shakti, his own inherent power. Ram’s inherent power to give pleasure, for giving pleasure to every SHraddhavan, to every devotee, that power is Rama. Are you understanding? Rama has not separate existence if Ram doesn’t wish to. Keep that in mind. He manifests her for his children’s benefits. Understand, we must have very clear concept. Right. Rama is manifested power of Ram. Who manifests this power? Ram himself. That’s why we are supposed to worship Ram. Always in Ram mandir, have you seen Ram alone? He is always with Sita, Janaki i.e. Rama as well as Lakshman. Right.   Ramam Ramesham Bhaje. So Buddhakaushik Rushi is telling us, a big sage telling us that don’t worship Ram as Ram alone. Don’t worship Rama as Rama alone. But worship Ram as Ramesh.

But, worship Ram as Ramesh- Lord of Rama. Means the one who is going to provide every material, means the physical as well as metaphysical help to us in each and every direction, in each and every place, in each and every function. Are you understanding? Getting it properly? Just understand, just remember your old days.

We are appearing for some very important exam. We have been preparing for one whole year. And the day of exam comes. 10:30 is the paper, right? We reach there at 9:30 with our parents, it’s mostly can be seen nowadays. In our days, parents never used to accompany us. We used to go on our own- Bindaas!  One compass box in our pocket and go and appear for the exam and come back.

Maximum, mother will be standing at the door, “How was paper, Bapu? How was it? Okay. Fine! Chalo, okay!”

Not that they were not loving us, but they never used to pressurise us. That’s the most important thing. Remember the day, we all were going for our exams- some were nervous, some were anxious. Some were worried, sceptical, keeping fingers crossed. I have seen many boys and girls keeping fingers crossed while entering the exam hall.

Then doing this, this, this, this all the Gods possible, we remember, we worship them, we call them, we cry for them. Okay, nothing is wrong in that! God is for that! Okay? But, at that particular minute what is most important for us is- what is most required for us is? Mental strength! The courage! Right? To face the fear. Exam is nothing else! Exam is not a monster!

But, because we get scared of exams, exam becomes a monster for us- a demon for us; and demons and monsters- everybody is going to get scared of, right? So, remember that nothing remains monster and nothing remains a demon, if we are worshiping Ramesham. Ramam Ramesham Bhaje.

He knows, which keys to be turned, which buttons to be pressed at that particular time. All of a sudden- many times you must have experienced, we enter the exam hall, the question paper comes, we read the questions- the first minute is…? How is it? With a lots of chills. Not chill, but chills, rigours, question marks, tremors, right? Palpitations, right? And within one minute, all of a sudden we realise that ‘Arre nahi! Okay yaar. It’s possible! I can write it.’ How the mood changes suddenly?

Then at the end of the exams, we are coming out. Arre, I have answered all the questions, ‘quite okay yaar! I am clearing out.’ How have we felt at that time? All of you must have experienced, right? Then after getting that particular certificate for that exam, we think, ‘Why was I scared of the exam, yaar? It’s very simple!’

And we tell our younger ones, ‘Don’t worry yaar! The exam is very simple.’ Yes, but for that, we have to go through it. And going through any exam of your life, I am not talking about only school exams or college exams. Examinations are there, exams are there at every step of our life.  Every human being has to appear for exams, they have to face exams at various levels from his birth to the death- everyday! And all these exams, we require only one thing- that is courage. And Ram is the only one who gives us courage. No one else is famous for giving courage. Only Swayambhagwan Ram!  He himself, we have seen throughout Ramayan. He is functioning, working only as a human being only without throwing any miracles around, right?

Without exhibiting supernatural powers. But still, everywhere we see, he is very courageous. He never gives up, he never gives away, right? And that same Sriram is the only one who gives us courage, right? That courage if you don’t have, that pulls our leg down, that makes our knees weak, that makes our eyes blind. So, courage is one thing, everyone is opting for, everyone is wanting and wanting and wanting. What is confidence? If you have courage, confidence automatically comes. Where there is no courage, there is no confidence. The basis of confidence is basically courage, right? And courage comes from Ram. Courage for doing right things comes from Ram. Courage for doing wrong things comes from Ravan. We have to decide, whose disciples we are going to be, whose devotees we are going to be. We may be committing mistakes, but don’t think that you are getting energised by Ravan. Don’t! If you are taking the name of Ram, if you are doing something wrong- that energy will not be coming from Ravana. Who will come in the way? Ram! The Swayambhagwan himself. Who certainly will come in your way or Ravan’s way, whichever way. Whatever is required. Either he will stop you from going to that particular point or He will stop Ravana from entering into your life. He has the capacity to do it.

How?

We always have questions. Always- how? ‘How he can do that Bapu? For everyone?’ Yes!  Because our Mantragajar itself says, ‘Rama Rama Aatmarama…!’ He is residing in your heart as Aatmaram. As we have pacemaker in our heart, right?

What is that? What is the function of that pacemaker? To make our heart beat. Our heartbeats are depended on the pacemaker. Same way, Hrudayastha Ram, okay? Aatmaram! Means the one who is sitting in our inner heart. Not the heart pump, blood pump, but the heart!

The centre of our emotions, the centre of our feelings, the centre of our, our? Ownness! Not loneness, ownness! Me, myself all that, right? Centre of that basic is that Sriram. That is Aatmaram. That Aatmaram is the pacemaker of our all mental and intellectual activities. Keep that in mind. He is the pace maker for them. Obviously, when he beats, he allows the beats, that particular function is going to go on! Otherwise, it  is going to come to halt. So, courage is continuously provided to us by Ram. That’s why the word Aatmaram. Have you heard the word Aatmashiva? Have you heard the word Aatmakrushna? No! The name only is Aatmaram. Don’t compare Shiva with Ram, Ram with Krushna, no! That is one and same!

We are only concerned with the name- the Naam!  Okay? Because every name has a meaning and every Naam has a particular frequency of vibrations. We know this whole world is made up of vibrations. Our thoughts also are nothing else but waves- thought waves, vibrations. So, the vibrations of the Ramnaam are capable of giving you continuous source of courage, which is most required, earnestly required everywhere, every moment in our life, right? Just imagine- it’s night, 1 o’ clock, okay? You are going on a bike, two wheeler, whatever it is- alone and somehow your car ditches you, as usual- car or bike. You have to stop. And you look to the left or to the right, you see it’s a Qabaristan. And then you start seeing so many things, which are not existing there also, right? You might see what you must have seen in movie or some picture or some cartoon- a lady in a white  saree or white robe or black robe, spreading his or her hands, right?

And coming towards you with no smile, nothing, with one candle and looking at you without blinking. And what you want to do? Ram Ram Ram Ram Ram- that is one use of name Ram we know, right?

Nothing wrong in that. That means, from our childhood, we have learnt this one thing- Ram gives the Ramnaam gives you  courage, right? And all worships, Naamjapa is the best worship.  Dnyandeo Maharaj has said, Naam Japa Yadnya Toh Param, Badhu Na Shake Snanadi Karma. Naame Pavan Dharma Adharma, Naam Parambramha Vedarthe!

Dnyaneshwar Maharaj is saying, the Naam- the name of Lord is no different from the Parabramha. The name and the lord is one and the same. Okay? So, when we are chanting, whenever we are doing worship, that means we are worshipping lord Ram, chanting his name is the most important thing, but while chanting we have to remember that he is basically a Ramesh. If he says no, Rama that is Lakshmi is not going to provide you anything- keep that in mind! Not because she has some dictator husband of Rama, no, not that way at all. Not at all. Because Rama is nothing else, but his own inherent power, strength, energy, everything. She is his inherent quality of giving boon of courage to everyone. That capacity of his, that love of his, that mercy of his, that bounty of his- that is Rama!

You understood? So, when we are calling Ram, whenever we are worshipping Ram, we have to remember, he is the one, who is Ramesh. Means, (he) gives us all the mental capacities competencies and potencies.

What are the three things, which he gives us?

Mental capacities competencies and potencies.

Mental capacities, competencies and potencies. And provided only and only by Lord Ram, who is basically a Ramesh. Who gives us actually is Rama. Who is the source of Rama, is Ram. Right. So without Ram, Rama will not be able to deliver you everything or nothing absolutely, got it. So,

Ramam Ramesham Bhaje |

Now see this sentence is coming after the first statement,

Ramo Rajamanihi Sada Viajayate |

Ram is the winner conqueror always... Why? Because now we can understand, his own power is Rama.  So whosoever, stands opposite to him, is Rama going to provide them with strength, with power, with mental courage? Right, with mental stamina, with physical stamina? No! You'll not be able to sleep also cause she is the provider of sleep as well.

So the one who stands opposite Ram, against Ram, will not be provided with anything. He'll be a real beggar and it is how Ravan became a beggar. He was the biggest emperor. Lanka was full of gold and gold and gold and gold. He has millions and millions of demons as his bodyguards or soldiers or whatever you want to call. One Hanumanji goes and burns the whole Lanka! Right. Much before the actual war has started. Lanka was destroyed. Are you getting? And what is Hanumanji doing? Remember Hanuman Chalisa last few lines -

Tulsidas sada hari chera keejai nath hrudaya mahadera  |

Next,

Pavanasuta Hanuman ki jai |

Umapati Mahadev ki jai

bolo re bhai sab santana ki jai jai jai |

And before that, nai, nai, nai, ...

I'm asking purposely, I'm very smart and very shrewd and very khadus teacher. Okay.

Kijai Naath hrudaya maha dera |

What is before that?

Pavan Tanay sankata harana, mangala murati roopa,

Ram Lakhan Siya sahit, hriday basahu sur bhoop |

Siyavar Ramchandra ki jai |

Pavanasuta Hanuman ki jai |

Umapati Mahadev ki jai

bolo re bhai sab santana ki jai jai jai |

So what is the first thing?

Ram Lakhan Siya sahit, hriday basahu sur bhoop |

So you are understanding? It is always with Lakshman and Janaki both, Ram himself okay. He has two end and end properties. One is Rama - Lakshmi and other is Lakshman. That is inherent potencies to help his own devotees in two different ways. Are you getting? Got it.

So now we have learnt only about Ramesh part of it.

Ramam Ramesham Bhaje |

So whenever you are going to look into Ram's eyes, or whenever you are going to look into Ram's feet, you have to remember that he is a Ramesh. He is the provider of courage. He is the lord of Rama, who provides us with all the metaphysical, mental, and intellectual properties, capacities, competencies, and potencies. And we do not have psychological, that is mental capacities, competencies and potencies, physical capacities, physical competencies and physical potencies are not going to be with us keep that in mind.

Whether physical or mental all the staminas come only from Rama and Rama receives it from Ram. Because she is nothing else but the inherent potency of Lord Ram. Have you understood all? All of you? So this is how our Lord Ram is! You must say, this is how MY Ram is! Never say 'our Ram', say 'My Ram', cause let him become a personal relation to you. You must have a personal bond with him.

Okay, he's a lord. He is the Lord of the whole universe. SO WHAT! So what! Aise just, for example, Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister of India, First Prime Minister, I'm remembering him. He has his own daughter, who also became a Prime Minister later. So what? For her he was her father only. Right! Same Mrs. Gandhi passed away in 1984. She was assassinated. Her own son became the Prime Minister, so what! He was performing the last rites, not as the Prime Minister of India okay. Both were Prime Ministers of India. One is Indira Gandhi - she had died. Rajiv Gandhi had become the Prime Minister of India, and he has given funeral pyre to her, right! But was that the function of the Prime Minister of India, who was performing for the Prime Minister of India? No. At that time. Sorry. He was at that time only the son of his mother. Right. Prime Ministership kept besides. Understood the principle!

Same way, as he is the Lord, Lord of the whole universe, of everybody. Agreed! For me, he is 'My Ram'! He is 'My Baap'! He is 'My Father'! Okay, He is My Friend! Only thing is don't make or commit a mistake for calling him as your enemy! Never! Many times we say, we go on cursing Lord, what are you doing? You don't have eyes or what? Not looking at my condition! What have you done to me? You are very partial to my friend or my brother ort my wife or husband whatever it is! Never complain like this! You can fight with him, as his son, don't fight with him as his hater, his enemy. Okay. Fight with him also; you have every right to fight with him! Fight as a son or a daughter, with 'Love', with respect, both! Which is more and which is less? No. Both should be equal. Love as well as respect. Are you understanding?

Whatever as, sorry. We are saying, Laxman and Laxmi, Laxman and Janaki are inherent potencies only of Ram. Laxman is nothing else but something, something, I'm just holding, hold on. Just I said, you must have respect for Ram. Right. Respect for your own Lord. Remember at the same time, that Swayambhagwan has respect for you as well! He respects your feelings. He respects your life. He respects your existence. He respects your failures. He respects your winnings. Even if you are the biggest loser he respects you, as what you are! Because of that only, he's able to love you also, as what you are. And that respect of Ram towards his devotees, is Laxman! Laxman is nothing else but the Ram's respect for his own devotees. Are you understanding! What is Laxman? Nothing else but Swayambhagwan's respect for his own devotees, is Laxman! That's why we say, Laxman always has, ever ready to, chop anybody and anyone who even utters a single word against Ram. He is Ram's respect for his devotees.

So in the same fashion, we say, our respect for Ram is also Laxman only. Are you understanding? Clear? So,

Ramam Ramesham bhaje |

By saying this always remember, by saying this statement, again and again, I am able to pull, I'm able to gather, I am able to catch, I am able to receive. I am able to capture. I am able to gain the most important quality, that is courage! Understood! Are you sure? So whenever you are saying this Ram Vijaya Mantra, this one second line gives you courage, enormous amount of courage! Understood. Clear! So we'll say this, we'll chant this?

Ramam Ramesham bhaje | ? Five times. Okay.

You will say this, what is wrong with Dr Joshi today? Right. He's gone mad. Instead of he said five, he was counting some different way. No. I am mad agreed. I am extremely mad. Extremely mad for my kids. Okay. As our body has got five parts - Annamay kosh, Pranamay kosh, Manomay kosh, Vidnyanamay Kosh, and Anandmay Kosh, I wanted everybody's every kosh filled with courage. Got it!  Number five for you may be different. Number five for me may be totally different. Agreed. Okay.

Hari Om | Shree Ram | Ambadnya | Naathsanvidh | Naathsanvidh | Naathsanvidh |

Love you LOT! Love you lot and only wish is that all of you have always courage, so that you will never have to beg in front of anybody, for anything, in your whole life. Whole life means not only this birth, every birth! My child cannot become a beggar! Okay! You will have courage provided by Him, that's my promise! Okay.

Love you all! Love you all!
